The Stokvel Academy is an NGO that was established specifically to create a community learning and development facility for stokvel members and children in the community.
I was inspired by a quest to see Stokvels and their communities participating in the economic mainstream, through grassroots developmental programmes.
The Stokvel Academy is the umbrella organisation running different programmes such as the Afterschool Care Centre in Evaton. The Stokvel Academy is not limited to hardcore stokvel activities only. It is an organisation that is focused in leveraging on Ubuntu stokvel philosophy, namely, helping and supporting one another.

We offer services to Stokvel Community

Entrepreneurship Development
We offer guidelines on how our stokvel community could start and run their own business. Some of our Stokvel Entrepreneurship programs are sponsored by our clients and Government Economic Development Agencies.
Networking
We create brand sponsored events, that serve as a network platform for stokvels. Through these platforms stokvels get an opportunity to learn from one another. This platform also give stokvels an opportunity to have access to different companies that could assist them with better procurement of goods and services.
Community Support
Stokvels are an integral part of the community. We also run community support programs such as Afterschool care, to assist children with Homework and other life skills.
